How do I install SMF2.1-release-2.1 from github, I have installed stuff from git before, but I seem to be having problems with this :blsh

Do I install the smf_2-1-beta3 from SMF downloads first then overwrite the files/folder from GH?

* Lesmond is a bit  :blsh

Are you just looking to install :ja

Yes, I wanted to try it out, and see what all the fuss is about ;)

I would get the nightly build then. That package is already set up. DO NOT touch beta3, waaay outdated.

If you want to go directly from GH though than you need to compare the nightly build zip with the zip from GH and make your own install. The zip from GH has a lot of files in it from GH that are not needed. So those have to be stripped out. Than it is just like any other install. If you don't wanna do all the fuss with makin your own than I would use the link I posted as that zip is already to go. :)

In the screenshot you will see 2 zip files. The one on the left is a nightly build. It looks the same as any other install package. Over layed on top of it to the right is a zip from GH. Do you see the difference. In the GH version there are files that need to be taken out, and other files that need to be moved around. The GH version has a folder called other. In there are the install and upgrade files. They need to be moved obviously. Files like .gitignore and .gitmodules do not stay in the install cause they are not needed. So if you compare both you will be able to see how to make a install package from GH. It is a lot easier to use the nightly build zip as it is all ready for you to use.

Lesmond

Thank you, I think I got the idea now :)

* Lesmond will report back with further updates ;)

Ok so far so good, how do you make/force it to use index.css and not minified?

I have already made a copy of the default theme.

Bigguy
